Rene & Amanda - July 2012

I met Amanda & Rene about a year and a half ago at our church. After hearing about their super sweet proposal, I was secretly hoping to be able to work on their wedding...fast forward a few months, and I was having a meeting with Amanda and her mom, Joann. There were so many great ideas that Amanda and her mom had compiled, and I knew they could be a reality...but they weren't sure. So we got to work!! Because Amanda wanted a DIY, rustic yet feminine wedding, and they wanted to get to work on the DIY projects, I spent many evenings at her family's home, sitting around the dining table crafting! We had so much fun! We really made it a family event that everyone got to be a part of! I so enjoyed getting to be a part of planning and making the bride's dream wedding a reality!
My favorite part of it all was at the wedding, towards the end of the reception, Amanda told me, "I can't believe it, it's more than I dreamed it could have been!" Those are the moments I do this for... : )

I also must mention the amazing photography by joe+kathrina! An amazing couple who are so professional and amazing at what they do!! They are so comfortable to be around. After sitting with them for a few minutes, I felt like we were old friends just hanging out! Not everyone can make you feel that way! They also pay such great attention to all the little details that every couple would want to remember! I suggest that if you are looking for great photography for your wedding day, check them out here!!
Rene and Amanda's wedding took place at Riley's Farm in Oak Glen, CA.

David & Samantha - December 2011

From the Bride -

"Firefly Studio Events & Designs was an essential and exceptional coordinator for my beautiful wedding on December 17th, 2011. They were there bright and early, and stayed until the last call cleaning up everything. Aliki was in communication with all the different vendors and the staff at the venue so I didn't have to worry about anything on the big day. She also was a huge help in calming down my frantic family when it looked as though it might rain (the wedding was held outside). I appreciate her stepping in for me when I was too emotional to understand what was going on. She made sure that what I wanted to happen did happen and kept my intrusive family members from taking over. Her hand-made programs were elegant and the seating arrangement she constructed was so cute and easy for people to use. I was so pleased with Aliki's professionalism and personal touch that I referred her to my closest friend, who was also very impressed. I encourage any bride-to-be to grab this woman quick!"

Morris & Cynthia - October 2011

Morris and Cynthia were married in Riverside at the Crestmore Manor, an amazing venue that makes you feel like you are in the country. The colors they chose were hues of purple with cream accents. Firefly Studio Events consulted prior to the wedding and were asked to coordinate the day of. We also designed the banners that decorated the reception. In addition, we designed the rustic wooden arch that was used for the ceremony and to frame the gorgeous cake!

Tony & Jenai - October 2009

In October 2009, Firefly Studio Events & Designs planned and coordinated it's first wedding!

Jenai & Tony's reception took place at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. It was a very elegant event using deep reds, antique gold tones with black feather accents. Jenai stole the show in her amazing Monique Lullier gown, which defines her sense of style...unique, bold & chic! The wedding itself was inspired by the brides Sri Lankan heritage and Jenai & Tony's LA style!

The bridesmaids wore saris made with beautiful, rich fabrics embroidered with golden embellishments.

The ceremony aisle was decorated with curly willow branches accented with deep red roses.

The bride, wanted something personalized on their table. So we made antique gold signs that Jenai & Tony loved!!
